Snow King challenge revs up

The VERT Solutions uphill scanning project at Snow King Mountain provides a fun and engaging way for Jackson Hole locals to compete against each other. The project was completed during the 2018/19 winter season and became an instant hit with the locals. Participants competed for bragging rights and swag donated by Stio, the Uphill Challenge sponsor. Snow King Mountain plans to hold more uphill challenges this summer.

VERT Solutions provided the hardware and software solutions for this unique project. “I think it’s a first of its kind at a ski area in the country, as far as I know,” resort General Manager Ryan Stanley said. “There’s no other uphill scan system that uses your season pass to track you.”
